Ten rounds keep this Beretta 92FS legal in places that limit magazine capacity, and it still brings all the classic features. It is new, chambered in 9mm.

The 92FS has a long list of fans. It is a steel and alloy pistol with an open slide, a hammer and a double-action first pull, and the safety lever drops the hammer for you. It has served in many roles and its design is well understood by gunsmiths and parts suppliers.

A pistol with a 10 round magazine is also a good choice for newer shooters. The thinner load and the manageable recoil mean you can focus on the fundamentals of grip, sight picture and trigger press. The weight of the pistol helps soak up the 9mm's recoil, which makes it pleasant at the range. For home defense, it points naturally and the controls are easy to reach.

If you are new to the Beretta, start with a good holster and a few boxes of ammunition and let the pistol earn your trust. It ships to a licensed dealer you choose, where you complete the background check and pick it up.
