Beretta says it designed the 92X Performance Carry Optic with input from the best competition shooters in the world, and it is tuned for accuracy and speed right out of the box. This new 9mm has a 4.9 inch barrel, a 15 round magazine and a steel finish.

It comes with the Xtreme-S Trigger System, which can be adjusted for take-up, break and over-travel. Beretta lists up to a 40 percent reduction in reset travel compared with older 90 series pistols. The Steel Vertec frame gives a high beavertail, front and rear strap checkering and a flared magazine well. An oversized, reversible magazine release suits left and right-handed shooters.

The pistol carries a Nistan finish on the frame and slide, along with DLC-coated parts, for durability. The slide is cut for a red dot, so you can add an optic of your choice.

This is a competition-grade pistol that also suits a shooter who simply wants a refined 92. It will reward time at the range. The pistol ships to a licensed dealer you choose, where you complete the background check and pick it up.
