German army uniforms gave the Flecktarn pattern its name, with its dots and speckles of green, brown and black. Here it appears as a Cerakote finish on a full-size 92XI SAO, and the look is quite different from the stock black Beretta.
The pistol is new and chambered in 9mm. The SAO in the name means single action only, so the trigger has one short, crisp stage after the hammer is cocked. Beretta fitted the 92XI with a frame-mounted safety, which lets you carry it cocked and locked if that suits your training. Run the slide by hand when it arrives and make sure it moves cleanly from end to end. A good holster and a sturdy belt matter as much as the pistol, so budget for both.
Cerakote is a thin ceramic-based coating that resists scratches and wear well. On a pistol that you plan to use, that is a good thing. It also means every part of the pistol that carries the finish stays protected from sweat and holster rub.
The pistol ships to your FFL dealer. The background check takes place there before you take it home.
