State rules shape what you can buy in places like California, and this P226 MK25 was made to fit them. It is new, in 9mm, with a 4.4 inch barrel, double-action operation and three 10 round magazines in the box.

The pistol follows the specification of the sidearm carried by U.S. Navy SEALs. It has a black finished alloy frame, textured black polymer grips and a lined front strap for a firm hold. SIGLITE night sights give a clear sight picture in low light, and an integral Picatinny rail forward of the trigger guard lets you mount a light or laser.

Safety features include a loaded chamber indicator and tool-free takedown for cleaning. The listed weight is about 2.2 pounds. Balance and ergonomics are designed to cut felt recoil, and shooters generally find the P226 steady in the hand.

Three magazines is a good set for range days. You can load all three and shoot a long session without stopping to refill. The pistol ships to a licensed dealer you choose, where you complete the background check and pick it up.
