Cocobolo is a dense, richly colored wood, and it gives this X-Five Classic a handsome grip panel that you rarely see on a modern pistol. The pistol is chambered in 9mm, has a 5 inch bull barrel and holds 20 rounds, and it is stainless steel. It is new.

The Classic styling is a nod to the early days of the X-Five, with the bright stainless and the wood panels that long-time competitors remember. The bull barrel is thicker out front, adding weight that settles the sights between shots. The longer slide gives a generous sight radius.

Twenty rounds in the magazine is a lot, and it will suit long strings in a match or a long range session. Check your state and local capacity rules before you order.

A stainless steel pistol with wood grips shows its age gracefully. Wipe off fingerprints and keep the wood dry and it should look good for years. It is not a deep-concealment pistol, with its long slide and heavy build. It belongs on the range, in the safe or on a nightstand. Ask us if you want other details confirmed. The pistol ships to a licensed dealer you choose, where you finish the background check and pick it up.
