A compact SIG with a red dot already fitted is a handy thing to own, and that is what the P229 Legion with a Romeo1 reflex sight offers. It is new, in 9mm.

The P229 shortens the P226 design without giving up the metal frame or the double-action/single-action trigger. That makes it popular with plainclothes officers and with civilians who want a duty-grade carry gun. The Legion version is SIG's upgraded line, with a distinct look and refined parts.

The Romeo1 reflex sight sits low on the slide. A dot lets you keep both eyes open and put one bright point where you want the shot to land, which many shooters find faster than aligning iron sights. If the battery dies, the pistol still shoots, so practice with both. Put a few boxes through it early so you learn how it feeds and where it prints with your preferred ammunition.

The P229 ships to a licensed dealer of your choice. You pass the background check there and collect it. It is a good fit for a carry or home gun buyer who wants a premium compact with optics included.
