Gen5 is the newest family of the Glock 17 that police departments have been moving to, and this used example comes from police trade stock. It is chambered in 9mm, comes with Ameriglo night sights and includes one 17 round magazine.
Gen5 brought a number of changes over earlier generations, including a different barrel with a more uniform rifling pattern, no finger grooves on the grip and a smoother finish on the slide. Many shooters find the grip easier to use because it fits more hand sizes.
The night sights are a real benefit. Ameriglo sights use tritium inserts that glow in the dark, giving you a clear aiming point when light is low. They also tend to be a cost you would otherwise have to pay on top of the gun. Police holster wear is common on trade-in pistols. It can show as light marks at the muzzle and on the slide edges. We have no condition grade for this one, so study the photos. It is used and sold as described.
With one magazine in the box, you may want to buy a spare or two. Glock magazines are plentiful and fit many other Glocks. A trade-in G17 is a practical duty-style 9mm for a fair price. It ships to a licensed dealer you choose, where you finish the background check and pick it up.
