Ruger's P89 came out when everyone wanted a high-capacity 9mm, and it became a common sight on gun counters and in police lockers. This used one comes with two magazines and a holster, but no box.
The P89 is an all-metal, hammer-fired pistol in 9mm. It is heavy by modern standards, and that weight helps keep recoil soft. Ruger had a reputation for building tough guns, and the P89 lives up to it. Check that every magazine seats with a firm click and drops free when you press the release.
Older metal pistols have a feel that polymer guns do not match. They are solid, they point steadily, and they last. The tradeoff is size and weight, which matter more if you plan to carry all day. For a home defense gun or a range pistol, it does fine.
Having a holster in the package is useful, though you should check the fit before you rely on it. Parts and magazines for the P89 are still available, though not as common as for newer designs. It is sold used and as described. It ships to your FFL dealer, and the background check is completed there.
