Two cartridges in one gun is a good trick, and the Redhawk in .45 Long Colt and .45 ACP offers it. With moon clips, the revolver can shoot the .45 ACP round as well as the longer .45 Colt. This one is used, with Hogue grips and the factory box.
The Redhawk is built like a bridge. Ruger designed the frame for magnum loads, so a .45 Colt is well within its comfort zone. The Hogue rubber grips soak up recoil and give a firm hold. Start with mild loads and work up, so you learn the gun before you learn its limits.
A heavy revolver in .45 caliber is a good woods gun and a good range gun. It handles the standard cowboy loads, and with heavier loads it can take deer at close range. It is not a light carry pistol, though, so plan on a chest holster or a good belt rig.
Check the cylinder and crane for wear, and make sure the action is smooth. Ruger revolvers tend to last. It is sold used and as described. It ships to your FFL dealer, and the background check is completed there.
