The Shield EZ was designed around a simple idea: make a carry pistol that is easy to rack and easy to shoot. The slide takes less hand strength than most 9mm pistols, the grip safety is absent, and the controls are large. This used Performance Center version comes in 9mm with two magazines and the factory box.
Performance Center guns usually have improved trigger work and sights, so check the photos for the details. The slim profile of the EZ fits in a holster without printing, and the low recoil impulse for a 9mm makes it a pleasant pistol for new shooters. Anyone with arthritis or weak hands should look closely at this design, since it solves a problem that many compact guns create.
Treat a trade-in like any other. Rack the slide a few times, confirm the striker drops, and test the trigger reset. Slip both magazines in and out. Look over the barrel and the sights for wear. The finish on a carry pistol often shows holster marks, and a few are no cause for concern.
Pair it with a decent holster and some practice with your carry ammunition. It is sold as described, in used condition, and ships to your local FFL dealer, where the background check is completed.
