Small pistols still need to be shot well, and the XD9 with a 3 inch barrel is a good size to practice with. It is a subcompact version of Springfield Armory's polymer pistol, chambered in 9mm. This one is used and comes with two magazines and the factory box.

The short barrel and the compact grip make the pistol easy to conceal. It has the XD features that fans like, including the grip safety and the striker indicator. Match the holster to the exact model, because a loose fit is both slow and unsafe.

A subcompact pistol is a bit livelier than a full-size one. The short grip and light frame move more in recoil, so plan some time at the range. Many shooters carry a flush magazine and keep an extended one for training.

As a carry pistol, it offers a lot for the price. Magazines, holsters and parts are easy to find because the XD has been around for a long time. It is sold used and as described. It ships to your FFL dealer, and the background check is completed there.
